The type 560 seal has been designed for high volume production and reliable service using field proven concepts.

Our Type 560 Scat utilizes a friction drive accomplished through the interference fit between the collar, rubber bellows and the shaft. With this arrangement, the driving torque is not transmitted through the coil spring. The seal can be used regardless of direction or rotation. The unique rubber bellows secondary seals provide a high degree of axial flexibility to compensate for misalignment and lack of concentricity of the shaft and wear due to thrust movement of the shaft. As there is no relative movement between the rubber bellows and the shaft, there is no fretting and the seal can react quickly to any movement.

Typical uses include hot and cold water pumps, hydraulic pumps and motors, air and refrigeration compressors and mild chemicals.

The seal offers a very high degree of interchangeability with the various contemporary seals.
