The CF600 is a compact, cartridge mounted dual seal assembly. The inner (product seal) is a standard Eagle edge welded bellows seal having a variety of material options for maximum flexibility of application.

The outer (atmospheric side) seal is a short axial length bellows seal which provides positive retention of low pressure (< 0.4 MPa) quench media as well as diverting pumpage to drain or safe area in the event of primary seal failure.

The benefits of liquid quenching to the atmospheric side of a seal is widely accepted. Dependent on the nature of the

pumped media, it is frequently necessary to flush the quench space to prevent build up of deposits under the primary seal faces. This is the normal condition in which the minute amount of normal leakage crytallise or decompose into deposits which can inhibit seal flexibility and shorten seal life. The CF600 contains liquid quenches with the pressure restrictions encountered through the use of lip-seals, throttle bushings, labyrinths or other secondary containment devices. This has the benefit of eliminating spray leakage from the gland area and preventing ingress of quench media to the bearings.

The CF600 is exceptionally easy to install, only requiring the seal plate to be bolted to the seal chamber and the sleeve locked to the shaft. There are no awkward setting clips to remove.
