This seal is exclusively used for refrigeration compressors. The type EA111 is provided with special cast iron and carbon seal face materials which are compatible with Freon and refrigeration oil.

Our Type EA111 Seal utilizes a friction drive accomplished through the interference fit between the collar, rubber bellows and the shaft. With this arrangement, the driving torque is not transmitted through the coil spring. The seal can be used regardless of direction of rotation. The unique rubber bellows secondary seal provide a high degree of axial flexibility to compensate for misalignment and lack of concentricity of the shaft and wear due to thrust movement of the shaft. As there is no relative movement between the rubber bellows and the

shaft, there is no fretting and the seal can react quickly to any movement.

The stuffing box of the compressor does not require any special design to assemble the seal.
