The type EH790 is recommended for high speed rotation since the seal assembly is of the stationary type and rotating element is a simple configuration.

In addition, shaft material and surface finish are not critical because the seal is independent of the shaft. This series is mass produced in full automatic production lines. These seals are incorporated in automotive water pumps, hot water circulating pumps, general purpose pumps and various types of industrial machinery.

 

Eagle maintains a 90% share of the automotive water pump market in Japan. This category includes the type EH790 for engine driven pumps and type A seal for Automotive airconditioners.

Unitized seal (cartridge type) feature is also available wherein rotary seal head and stationary mating ring are assembled in a stamped cup, forming a single unit, like a cartridge. This cartridge type arrangement makes for an easy installation.
