The Type SL1 Slurry Seals are developed mainly for pumps handling abrasive products in mineral ore plants. This seal is uniblock, adjustable and easily mounted.

The rubber covered spring disc includes a metallic spring element which maintains the rotating ring pressed against the fixed ring, hence there is no risk of clogging.

The seal is independent of the direction of rotation and have special EPIL vibration dampening feature.

The sleeve can be modified according to the shaft or the shaft sleeve of the pump.

 

The spring disc assures that the gland plate is held square to the axis of the shaft and compensates for the defects of perpendicularity between the stationary ring and the axis of rotation.

Even when abrasive suspensions cause blocking, leak tightness is guaranteed.

No additional flushing is required, provided that the seal is continuously flushed by the product.

No cooling required (by water injection).
