These seals are multi-coil spring balanced Pusher Seals catering to almost 90% of general purpose sealing requirements.

First introduced in the early sixties and are now in service around the world. Today's P Seals incorporate all the latest design features based on millions of hours of field service.

Salient features:

  • Wedge or 'O' Rings allow lower spring loads and a cooler running seal thus shaft fretting is minimized.
  • Narrow cross-section lets the seal slide into the smallest of stuffing boxes.
  • Can be provided as an engineered cartridge construction in single, double or tandem arrangements with a complete range of auxiliary sealing devices and seal support systems.

This range of seals is available with the carbon locked in by a circlip for ease of assembly on heavy duty and vertical pumps. Designated as P13/P14 for balanced versions with 'O' Ring and Wedge respectively.

Because all parts are interchangeable, you can convert from an unbalanced seal to a balanced seal by changing only the carbon. This means fewer spares to stock and much easier maintenance.
